Video Summary

Hello world, PDR coming at you here with a 2015 Audi Q5 Sq5. It’s got a large dent in the rear door and it goes through the body line as you can see through my board. The dent has a lot of tension and comes around the brace. Actually, the dent runs about a quarter-inch down. I won’t be able to get to the top of that dent, so what I’m trying to do is get most of it with the glue pulling and if needed, I will finish the dent with other PDR tools. Hopefully, this glue, tabs, and the mini lifter will get me where I need to go, and if not I’ve got my wedge and Scorpion heat gun ready. I will be using Keco tabs and black glue and a mini lifter. I will start making some pulls and let’s see what happens.

After a couple of glue pulls, the dent is about 70% out. Now let’s make a pull and you will want to catch this one through the board as it pulls. Let me grab some isopropyl alcohol and pull the tab off. I’ll see how much of the dent moved and I’ll do the same thing again. Why am I not using a football or a creased tab? It’s because this dent is pretty much round. It’s got a bit of a weirdness to it, but I want to get it right there and I always want to make sure that if I’m using the lifter that things line up.

I will now glue pull on the dent and will see how much comes out. You will see a lot of that dent came out and now I will tap down the high spots.

You saw in just a couple of minutes with the glue pulling, I pulled out of the dent out. I still got this little brow to get out. I may not be able to fix this but I never claimed to be the best but I do give people good value for their money and I think that this customer is going to be super happy with the work I’ve done.

I’m going to get the dent to 90-95% complete. I will have to do some tapping and maybe a little more pushing. There’s a little more right here to work on but I’m not going to worry too much as long as the dent is 90-95% repaired. You won’t see any of these little imperfections unless you are using a board or a PDR light.

To complete this job, it will take me 3-5 hours and I am charging much less than someone’s deductible or what a body shop would charge. I know the dents are not perfect but the customer will be happy that the dent is removed and is not noticeable to the naked eye.
